Paralysis Ticks poison around 20,000 dogs a year in Australia – costing their owners a small fortune in vet care – and even then around 10% sadly never recover.
According to surveys, part of the problem is owners forget to keep up fortnightly or monthly anti tick treatments.
However… now there’s a new product, an oral chew called Bravecto which only needs to be given every 12 weeks.
It hit Europe this time last year, the US soon after – and finally – it’s available here in Australia.
Recently VETtalk TV was invited to the launch of Bravecto a new chewable tick and flea preventative and managed to chat with Dr Katrina Warren away from the wonder dogs - Check out Bravecto's Facebook page here!
